Board Expect Continental Qualification through League Position

So we approached the season with very high expectations. We won a major competition, we went professional and the club entered a continental competition for the very first time. The club had a reason to be joyish and ambitious and look forward to a exciting season.

Well.....the first half of our season looked like this PLD 15 W 2 D 2 L 11. Abysmal isn't the word. Player fights, media bashing us at every game, the board and fans expecting miracles with an injured and depleated squad. It was definitly a low point of my career so far and drastic changes were made with staff and players and it seemed to work.

We picked up 7 wins in our remaining 15 games and comfortably stayed clear of the drop despite my original concerns. I started to lose control of the club. Players, fans, the board and pretty much everyone suddenly got a giant ego after the cup win. My team, which I pretty much built from scratch, was not based around big egos, but a never say die attitude and teamwork.

The players and fans suddenly thought they knew what was best and board agreed with them despite all previous successes with me at the helm. 6 seasons have now been complete and as much as I love the club, being disrespected like that isn't right. If things don't improve I'm going to have to walk. Ajax CT have already expressed a keen interest.

.......Still in competition but next ties don't begin till the next season......

Highs: Keeping my job and our progress on the continental stage.

Lows: Egotistical players, fickle fans and a board willing to support everyone but me. Oh, and are crappy league position and attempt in the cup.

Other news:

-ENGLAND win the 2016 French European Championship with a 2-1 win over Slovakia

-Scotland made it to the second round after finishing 3rd in the group but losing out 3-1 against Slovakia.

-Rep. Ireland also were knocked out by Slovakia in heart breaking fashion during extra time in the Semi's.

Board Expect Respectable League Position

So it was going to happen eventually considering the events of last season. The board didn't help themselves by selling 2 of my key players under my nose without even a consultation.

I only got a small fraction of the money they made from the sale and without the broader scouting range I asked for it was impossible to replace the talent I lost.

We couldn't compete with the teams around us anymore. I just started to change things around the team started to pull together and bam.....I was sacked.
