Season 9.5 – Exeter City, League Two
Media Prediction: 10th
Board Expectations: Mid table finish
When I took over the club were languishing in 18th place and rather bizarrely the manager who had just been sacked kept chirping up in the media pointing out that the club were underperforming.
Yes mate, that would be why you were sacked! Muppet.
The squad was massive, but the old adage of requiring quality over quantity rang true, and I really did not rate many of the players, especially the youngsters I was supposed to be developing as part of the club vision.
Anyway, we performed okay for the most part, struggling against the top teams and performing as expected against the rest and we climbed to finish in 15th in the end.
A trimming of the squad and some new faces could be the start of something here, as I am expected to deliver a mid table finish again next season.

Previous Club Watch
Kings Lynn dropped back to the National North straight after I left, then got promoted again with a lot of the players I had signed, but have since fallen out of the playable leagues.
Newport were in the top half of League One for a few years while they still had the majority of the players I signed, but are now languishing in mid-table of League Two after being relegated last season.
Blackburn are in League One for the 4th successive season now, but that was largely down to me.
Crewe are challenging for promotion in League One, so that was definitely someting wrong with what I was doing towards the end. I knew I had a talented team, but just couldn’t get them to perform consistently.
Oh, and Boston are now in League Two for the second year, having been upper mid-table in the previous season. They are managed by ex-Everton and Arsenal Fox in the Box, who has done a great job there!
